It was the mid of February 2017 when I came to know about a meteor shower. I have not been able to see it but what I found was something I had never before. I looked at the stars and they fascinated me. Suddenly I was surprised to see a moving star which I later understood was a satellite. I plunged deep into it. I read some articles and came to know that one can see the andromeda galaxy (2.537 lys away) from just their naked eyes. But I had a binoculars lying in my dad’s cupboard which I took out to ‘see’ it.
But I wasn’t able to make much of it possibly due to the light pollution. But this was how I started my journey. My next target was pleiades and hyades cluster. And I was wonderstruck by their beauty. I was able to ‘see’ things which I just ingore before.
Next was the Orion nebula which I watched during a power shutdown and it was too fascinating.
